BIN LADEN VOWS TO UNLEASH CATASTROPHIC NEW ATTACKS AS OLMERT VOWS TO DIVIDE JERUSALEM

By Joel C. Rosenberg

(Washington, D.C., November 10, 2008) — Tensions in the epicenter are running high as the world watches closely to see if Israel is going to launch preemptive strikes against Iran during this window between the U.S. elections and the inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama on January 20th, or if Iran will use this window to launch preemptive strikes against Israel.

I make no predictions about what will happen. My team and I continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the entire region. We’re praying for a peaceful regime change in Tehran and Damascus and for a respite from all the wars and rumors of wars. We have great faith that this can happen. But we don’t pretend to know exactly how events will play out. Thus, we are continuing to prepare for the worst case scenarios.

Among them:

* an apocalyptic, prophetic war in the Middle East involving Israel and Iran

* another “regular” but horrifying geopolitical war in the region as a follow-up to the Second Lebanon War in 2006

* catastrophic al Qaeda attacks in the U.S., Europe and/or in the Holy Land

Most of our Joshua Fund team is on the ground in Israel right now, making preparations to provide more food, clothing, medical equipment and other emergency relief supplies to those who need them presently, and those who could be victims of coming wars and terrorist attacks. Lord willing, I leave for Israel tomorrow to join them and will do my best to send updates during that trip.

That said, here are the key stories my team and I are tracking today:

* Al-Quds Al-Arabi: BIN LADEN HAS ORDERED AN ATTACK BIGGER THAN 9/11 THAT WILL ‘CHANGE THE WORLD POLITICALLY AND ECONOMICALLY’

* REPORT IDENTIFIES UK TERRORIST ENCLAVES: Secret enclaves of al-Qaeda extremists based in London, Birmingham and Luton are planning mass-casualty attacks in Britain, according to a leaked Government intelligence report

* OLMERT AT RABIN MEMORIAL: WE MUST GIVE UP PARTS OF JERUSALEM: “If we want to keep Israel Jewish and democratic, we need to give up parts of the homeland we have dreamed about for generations and [mentioned] in our prayers, even Arab neighborhoods of Jerusalem, and to return to a 1967 Israel with certain amendments,” he said. “The decision must be made now. The moment of truth has arrived. There is no escaping it, but [the opportunity] can be missed. If, God forbid, we dither, we will lose the support for the idea of two states. There is no need to expand on the alternative…Rabin will win.” * OLMERT CALLS FOR CONCESSIONS IN JERUSALEM: Prime minister says during state ceremony in honor of slain prime minister, ‘We must give up parts of the homeland we have dreamt of for generations, as well as Arab neighborhoods in Jerusalem’. President Peres says unrestrained minority inciting against leaders must be brought to justice.

NOTE: I have not been able to confirm the Israeli news report last week that an earthquake in Iran may have been triggered by a possible Iranian nuclear test. At this point, I lean strongly towards the view that this was an inaccurate report, but I will let you know if I find out more one way or the other.

PUTIN PLOTS RETURN AS PRESIDENT: Ahmadinejad praises Obama

President-elect Obama will have many challenges to solve when he takes office on January 20th. But Russia and Iran may be the most serious and the most difficult.

The news out of Moscow this morning is that Czar Putin is plotting to return next year as President of Russia. “Russian President Dmitry Medvedev could resign from his post in 2009 to pave the way for Vladimir Putin to return to the Kremlin,” reports Reuters this morning, based on a report in a Russian newspaper. “Medvedev Wednesday proposed increasing the presidential term to six years from four years, a step the newspaper said was part of a plan drawn up by Vladislav Surkov, who serves as Medvedev’s first deputy chief of staff. Under the plan, Medvedev could implement changes to the constitution and unpopular social reforms ’so that Putin could return to the Kremlin for a longer period,’ the newspaper said. “Under this scenario Medvedev could resign early citing changes to the constitution and then presidential elections could take place in 2009,” the newspaper said, citing the unidentified source close to the Kremlin. The paper said Putin, who is currently prime minister, could then rule for two six year terms, so from 2009 to 2021.”

Meanwhile, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad today did something out of the ordinary, praising Sen. Obama for his election as the next American President.”I congratulate you on being able to attract the majority of votes of the participants of the election,” said Ahmadinejad. “I hope you make the most of the chance of service and leave a good name by preferring people’s real interests and justice to the insatiable demands of a selfish and indecent minority.”

UNCONFIRMED: WAS EARTHQUAKE IN IRAN A NUCLEAR TEST?

Let me begin by saying I am hesitant to send this to you because it is an unconfirmed report, and I hope it is wrong. But I wanted you to at least be aware and we’ll track the story together in the coming days.

An Israeli news service is reporting this morning that an earthquake in Iran last weekend may have been triggered by an Iranian nuclear weapons test, citing an Iranian nuclear scientist working on the project as its source.

“This past Saturday night, southern Iran experienced what was reported as a significant earthquake - a seismic event measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale,” reports Arutz Sheva/Israel National News, attributing the story first to the Israel Insider website. “Its epicenter was just north of the strategic Straits of Hormuz, which separates Iran from Abu Dhabi and Oman and which is the gateway to the Persian Gulf. The report quotes an Iranian nuclear scientist who claims to be working in uranium enrichment for the project, and who said that the ‘quake’ was acutally an undergound nuclear bomb test. Israel Insider adds that the test/quake was actually the second in a series. Nine days ago, a 4.8 Richter scale event occurred, with its epicenter only five kilometers away from the weekend tremor. The Israel Insider source reports that two nuclear rockets are currently ready - and are intended for use against Israel in the coming months. If the report is correct, it would belie previous speculation that Iran would not begin nuclear testing until it had more nuclear-bomb production capability.”

Let me stress again that this is an unconfirmed report. While the Associated Press did report a 5.0 earthquake in Iran this past weekend, as of 7:30am eastern on Friday the allegation that the quake was connected to Iranian nuclear testing has not been picked up by other major Israeli news services such as the Jerusalem Post, Ynet, or Haaretz. At the very least, let’s keep praying for the peace of Jerusalem, and preparing to care for those in the epicenter who would be severely affected if war is coming soon.

Meanwhile, Israelis will soon head to the polls to choose a new prime minister and a new parliament (Knesset). Kadima leader Tzipi Livni was unable to put together a governing coalition to replace the outgoing Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. So Israel will hold national elections on February 10th. Livni, who is currently the country’s Foreign Minister, will square off against former Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu. Please be praying that the Lord’s will would be done in Israel as well as here in the U.S. with our own critically important elections coming next Tuesday. Americans and Israelis desperately need leaders like the “men of Issachar, who understood the times and knew what Israel should do.” (I Chronicles 12:32)

Joel is blocked by google, who is he?

Who is Joel C. Rosenberg?

Why is his account blocked?
Is this world ready to listen to him?
Is he close to the truth?
Where can I find his new blog?

If you search for “Joel Rosenberg” using google, this is the result: 432,000 for Joel Rosenberg.

This man is popular especcialy between christians. His books are bestsellers and het blog is blocked without reason.
Some facts.

Joel C. Rosenberg is a New York Times best-selling list American author and a communications strategist. Rosenberg refers to himself as an “evangelical Christian from an Orthodox Jewish heritage.”[1] He has worked with some notable figures in business, politics, and media, including Steve Forbes, Rush Limbaugh, and former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He has written five novels about terrorism, including Gold Medallion Book Award winner The Ezekiel Option,[2] along with his first nonfiction book, Epicenter, on the alleged resemblance of biblical prophecies and current events. Rosenberg serves as a political columnist for World and he has also had his work published by the Wall Street Journal, National Review, and Policy Review. He and his wife, Lynn, have four sons and reside near Washington, D.C.

Rosenberg’s views on the Ezekiel 38-39 war of Gog and Magog and the end times are also not fully accepted in the Christian community. Partial preterist Gary DeMar has debated Rosenberg on this subject.

The Rosenbergs’ Joshua Fund

Recently, Rosenberg, and his wife Lynn, co-founded The Joshua Fund, which according to its website, “is partnering with evangelical ministries in the Middle East to provide desperately needed resources to Christians in the region to bless their neighbors in need in the name of Jesus. This is a tremendous opportunity to demonstrate the love of Christ to those who need it most.”

According to “Christian Zionist Author to Evangelize Lebaneses Refugees,” a post published in early November on Richard Bartholomew’s always informative “Bartholomew’s notes on religion”, the Fund’s two “humanitarian aid” efforts are called the “Project to Bless Israel” and the “Project to Bless Lebanon.”

According to its website, The Joshua Fund … “is a non-profit educational and charitable organization founded to encourage Christians to:

  • “Pray knowledgably and consistently for Israel and the Middle East
  • “Invite speakers to their churches and conferences to talk about how to bless Israel and her neighbors and to share what God is doing in the Middle East today
  • “Take vision trips to — and attend conferences in — Israel and the Middle East
  • “Publish Christian books and music in Israel and the Middle East
  • “Invest in the rebuilding of the ancient ruins in the Holy Land
  • “Assist the poor and needy in Israel in the name of Jesus Christ
  • “Support the evangelical Church in Israel and the Middle East as the only true hope for peace and reconciliation”

Crisis in Pakistan as Musharraf resigns

Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf resigned this morning, telling his country of 167 million people in a televised address, “I hope the nation and the people will forgive my mistakes.” Pakistan now enters a dangerous moment of instability.

It is not yet clear who will replace Musharraf, and as I’ve written before, Pakistan has long been one car bomb away from a bin Laden-ally seizing power. Should an al Qaeda-type Radical gain control of the country and its nuclear weapons, we could be facing an apocalyptic moment. Let us pray without ceasing that a Reformer will emerge who is respectful of Islam but is committed to true freedom, democracy, and the rule of law and who can root out corruption and protect minorities throughout the country. Note, however, that the last Reformer who began emerging there was Benazir Bhutto who was then assassinated after returning from exile.

For all his many flaws, Musharraf was steadily becoming a Reformer. After 9/11, he became a key ally of the U.S., helping us in our war against al Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan rather than interferring. He and his security forces worked closely with us to capture numerous top jihadists, including Khalled Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind of 9/11. He was also supportive of protecting Pakistan’s rapidly growing Christian minority, which has been very important because Muslims are turning to Christ there in record numbers (I just met with a top Pakistani Christian leader for lunch last week and learned that there are now more than 2.5 million MBBS or Muslim Background Believers there.) Musharraf, to his great credit, also dramatically reached out to Israel, in defiance of the jihadists in his country. He once shook hands with Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, something the Saudis won’t even do, and gave a remarkable speech to the American Jewish Congress in New York City in 2005.

Let us pray for this important nation as it enters a time of great change and risk

New blog Joel Rosenberg

Here is what I found on the internet.

NOTE: For reasons that are not yet clear, my previous weblog site was blocked by the host service on Friday, August 8th, preventing me from posting any new articles all week. It remains blocked, as of this writing. Thus, I have launched a new site for all new articles. Previous posts remain archived and searchable. Thanks so much for your patience and your prayers. — JCR

So here is the link to his new blog. Joel C. Rosenberg
He will for sure continue to write great articles about the situation in the Middle East. The press calls him the next Nostradamus. Especially for Christians a must read. Everyone interested in Israel, Christianity, end times and the Middle East should read his blog.
You can still read all his articles published before 8-8-8 here.

Frequent readers of Is This Life? will remember that last month, Google started blocking anti-Obama blogs.

Google later blamed the debacle on “security loopholes” allowing pro-Obamanurists the take advantage of Blogger’s tab to report objectionable content.

Google states the problems have been cleared up,..but we know Google has a long history of capitulating to leftist governments and organizations, like MoveOn.org.

The American Thinker has more on this growing concern.

Greetings,

Harro Bos
Israel

War in november?

Western intelligence analysts continue to look at the strong possibility that Israel could strike Iranian nuclear and military targets this fall, possibly in November. Now three new pieces of data need to be factored into the equation.
First, Iran now claims to have 6,000 operational centrifuges, feverishly enriching uranium. That is double the number operating at the beginning of the year. “Islamic Iran today possesses 6,000 centrifuges,” Ahmadinejad told a group of professors in the city of Mashhad. What’s more, according to the Associated Press, “A total of 3,000 centrifuges is the commonly accepted figure for a nuclear enrichment program that is past the experimental stage and can be used as a platform for a full industrial-scale program that could churn out enough enriched material for dozens of nuclear weapons. Iran says it plans to move toward large-scale uranium enrichment that will ultimately involve 54,000 centrifuges.” That said, not everyone is convinced Iran is telling the truth, or that all 6,000 centrifuges — if they do have them — are actually operational. “An Israeli official who closely monitors the Iranian nuclear program told The Jerusalem Post that Ahmadinejad was probably lying. ‘Our assessment, based on the latest available information and recent reports from the International Atomic Energy Agency, is that the figure of 6,000 centrifuges is unlikely,’ the official said. ‘We believe a figure of between 3,400 and 3,500 is more accurate.’” The key, however, is that Iran is defying the international community and moving steadily in the direction of enriching enough uranium to high enough standards to be able to begin producing nuclear warheads, possibly within the next year or two, according to senior Israeli intelligence officials.

Second, U.S. officials now believe Russia will not be delivering to Iran this fall a promised and paid for state-of-the-art ground-to-air missile system. The S-300 system was supposed to be delivered to the Iranians as early as September, and operational within 6 to 12 months of delivery, according to Reuters. Pentagon press secretary Geoff Morrell said: “We firmly believe, based upon our understanding of the situation, that the Iranians will not be receiving that Russian anti-aircraft system this year.” This buys the Israelis more time, but also increases pressure on Jerusalem to strike the Iranians — if they are going to strike at all — before the Russian air defense system is delivered and operational, and probably while President Bush is still in office. That calculus has some analysts looking to a possibly late fall or early winter preemptive strike.

Third, “Iran signaled Thursday that it will no longer cooperate with U.N. experts probing for signs of clandestine nuclear weapons work, confirming the investigation is at a dead end a year after it began,” reported the Associated Press. “Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Monday accused Iran of not being serious at the Geneva talks. She warned that all six nations were serious about a two-week deadline for Iran to agree to freeze suspect activities and start negotiations or else be hit with a fourth set of U.N. penalties.” Diplomacy is not working. The sanctions that are currently in place are not changing the dynamic. And time is running out. In many ways, the Israelis find themselves today in a situation somewhat like the spring of 1967 when Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser and other Arab leaders were vowing to “throw the Jews into the sea” and were surrounding the Jewish State with military firepower that posed an existential threat. Israel had to make a decision: strike first and hope to gain the advantage with the element of surprise, or wait to be hit, and risk being annihilated. Let’s keep praying for peace, therefore. After all, the nations of the epicenter are clearly preparing for war.
